Colores, Luces, Diversión (Colours,Lights,Fun)

HOLA PEOPLE,

This weekend was a BLAST, its was the festival of lights(an indian celebration) or as they call it Deepavali, which translates into row of lamps. Indians would celebrate this joyous occasion by firstly the traditional visit to the temple n praying, bursting firecrackers, wearing new clothes, visiting friends n relatives and of course the usual indian food and delicacies would be served.

I was invited to my friends house to celebrate this great day(thanks KASH). I as usual had to dress for the occasion so i wore the traditional indian outfit and we had a taste of the great n sumptuous food and delicacies prepared by her dear mum.(PHOTOS will be up soon).

So since its deepavali and all i decided to touch on indian fashion and how beautiful indian people and their outfits can be....so here are some of the indian outfits for man and women of the indian society.

For Women....
The Saree: A strip of cloth/material(with designs) ranging from seven to nine metres is drapped over the body in various styles. The most common materials used for sarees would be silk n cotton. In modern times there is greater design n other accessories like sequins, beads, glitter are added to make it more appealing. Under the saree we hav a blouse and a peticoat that overs ur body.

The Punjabi Suits: Also known as Shalwar Kameez ,a suit commonly worn by women the pants are wider at the top n narrower at the ankle. the blouse are longer and covers all the way till the knees or beyond. The side seams are left open below the waist-line, give the wearer greater freedom of movement.

 Other type of indian outfits:)

Now we come to the MEN and their outfits:)

TATS ALL FOLKS FROM ME FOR NOW.....
I WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALL INDIANS A HAPPY DEEPAVALI!!!!
